PRELUDE

WHAT IS PRELUDE?

Prelude is a non-auditioned introductory choir for students in grades 2-5 taught by one of LSYC's Prelude staff. In this program, singers explore music skills and concepts through games and singing activities in the choral setting. As part of our outreach program, Prelude rotates sites throughout the Duluth/Superior community each semester.

WHEN IS PRELUDE?

Prelude is an hour-long after-school course offered over 8 weeks in one semester. Fall Prelude meets mid-October through early December and Spring Prelude meets mid-March through early May.  At the end of the eight weeks, sites join together to rehearse and perform the music in an exciting concert where they experience LSYC's resident choirs, share their site activities, and perform the choral piece they've been working on.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Registration for Prelude is $100 per semester, but is often reduced or varied depending on site location.  Financial assistance is available. Your child's registration also includes an LSYC Prelude t-shirt and 2 complimentary tickets to the concluding Prelude performance.
